Handy App LLC ("Handy PR™", "we", "us", or "our") is a technology platform connecting customers with independent handymen and contractors in Puerto Rico. Our principal place of business is in Puerto Rico, USA.

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and role (customer or service provider).
  • Job & Booking Data: Service type, address, municipality, photos, job descriptions, and scheduling information.
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. ATH Móvil reference codes and screenshots may be stored for verification.
  • Usage Data: Device type, pages visited, actions taken, and session identifiers for analytics and fraud prevention.
  • Communications: Messages exchanged between customers and service providers on our platform.
  • Location Data: Municipality information you provide; we do not track your GPS location without consent.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To match you with available service providers in your area.
  • To process payments and issue refunds.
  • To send booking confirmations, status updates, and service notifications.
  • To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To improve our platform and user experience.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as necessary:

  • Service Providers: When a job is matched, limited contact and job details are shared with the assigned professional.
  • Payment Processors: Stripe receives payment data to process transactions securely.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Delete Account option in the app or by emailing us.

6. Your Rights

Under applicable law (including Puerto Rico and U.S. federal law), you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and data.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure payment processing via Stripe, and access controls. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we encourage you to protect your account credentials.

Our platform is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
